ADHD & NEURODIVERSITY
Neuro-affirming ADHD Assessments in Milton Keynes
For adults and young people who want to feel understood, not judged. Delivered by an experienced therapist and reviewed by a Clinical Psychologist.
Before specialising in ADHD assessments, I spent many years working as a therapist supporting adults and young people experiencing anxiety, trauma, burnout, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, identity exploration and emotional overwhelm.
Throughout that work, I noticed a recurring pattern. Many of the people I supported had spent years feeling misunderstood or believing there was something "wrong" with them. Many had developed remarkable ways of masking their difficulties just to cope with everyday life.
Again and again, ADHD was either overlooked, misunderstood or hidden beneath years of coping strategies.
That experience inspired me to specialise in neuro-affirming ADHD assessments.
Today, I combine structured, evidence-based assessment with the depth of understanding that comes from years of therapeutic practice. I don't just assess symptoms against diagnostic criteria; I take time to understand the person sitting in front of me, recognising how life experiences, relationships, trauma, identity, emotional regulation and masking all contribute to someone's story.
My goal is that every person leaves feeling understood, whether they receive an ADHD diagnosis or not.

A Neuro-Affirming Experience
I know that assessments can feel daunting. That's why I've created a calm, welcoming environment where you can be yourself without fear of judgement.
My practice is proudly neuro-affirming and LGBTQIA+ affirming. I recognise that neurodivergence looks different for everyone and that many people have spent years adapting themselves to fit into environments that were never designed with them in mind.
Whether you're an adult exploring a late diagnosis, a young person trying to understand yourself, or someone who has spent years masking, you'll be met with compassion, respect and genuine curiosity.
You don't need to perform, mask or prove anything here.
Our guiding principles are built upon four core foundations:
-
Treating each person as an individual
-
Applying a Neuroqueer & Inclusive approach to our process
-
Working to the highest professional standards "Gold Standard Care"
-
Ensuring we are fair and impartial in every aspect of our work.
These values underpin everything we do from assessment through to ongoing support ensuring each person receives respectful, ethical, and person-centred care throughout their journey with us.
