THE WHOLE PERSON

Because an assessment should help you recognise yourself—not make you feel reduced to a result.

A different kind of assessment

You are a person,
not a set of scores.

Perhaps ADHD would explain patterns you have noticed for years. Perhaps you have become very good at coping, masking or pushing through—and nobody has seen how much effort that takes.

Our assessment brings clinical rigour and therapeutic warmth together. We explore diagnostic criteria, while also paying attention to relationships, identity, trauma, emotional regulation, masking and the wider story of your life.

Assessment can be the beginning of understanding—not the end of the conversation.

Our shared belief

Assessment is the beginning, not the end.

Understanding yourself is not about finding a label. It is about finding clarity, self-compassion and a way forward.

What makes this feel different

Expertise that still feels human.

A complete private pathway, thoughtfully structured so you know what is happening and why.

01

Time to be heard

Your experiences are explored in context. There is no expectation to arrive with perfect examples or the right language.

02

A rounded clinical view

Structured assessment, QbTest and multidisciplinary review work together rather than relying on one snapshot.

03

Clarity beyond diagnosis

Whatever the outcome, the process is designed to offer useful understanding, language and considered next steps.

Beyond the assessment

Clarity is a beginning.
Support can continue.

Whether or not you receive a diagnosis, we help you understand your options and choose what feels useful—without prescribing one “right” way forward.

01

Your choices

Clear, considered next steps may include therapeutic support, practical adjustments, further clinical guidance or simply time to absorb what you have learned.

02

Whole-person support

We can make space for emotional regulation, relationships, masking, burnout and self-understanding—not only attention and productivity.

03

Sustainable self-care

Together we can identify realistic routines and resources that respect your energy, needs and way of moving through the world.

Your pathway

Clear process.
No surprises.

There is room to pause, ask questions and understand each stage before moving on.

01

A gentle first conversation

A discovery call to hear what brings you here, answer questions and check whether this pathway feels right.

02

Forms and pre-screening

A short set of forms, background information and pre-screening help us begin building a clear picture of your experiences.

03

Your clinical assessment

A detailed, collaborative interview and QbTest explore attention, activity, impulsivity, development and context without rushing you.

04

Thoughtful clinical review

The multidisciplinary team considers every part of the evidence carefully, fairly and against recognised standards.

05

Clarity you can take forward

You receive feedback, a full report, an accessible summary and time to talk through what your results mean.

Clinical standards & tools

Evidence-based,
without feeling clinical.

No single test decides the outcome. We bring together several sources of information so the clinical decision reflects your experiences across time and everyday life.

01

Pre-screening

Structured questionnaires and background information help identify what should be explored in more depth.

02

Clinical interview

A detailed conversation considers attention, impulsivity, activity, development, daily impact, strengths and context.

03

QbTest

A computer-based task provides objective information about attention, activity and impulse control. It supports, but does not replace, clinical judgement.

04

Multidisciplinary review

The evidence is considered from more than one professional perspective before the outcome is agreed and explained.

Typical timeline

From first enquiry to completed assessment in around 14 days.

This is our usual timeframe when appointments and information can be coordinated. Your individual needs, availability or the need for further information may mean the pathway takes longer.

  3. DAYS 5-10Interview and QbTest

Attend the assessment sessions online and/or in person, as agreed.

  4. AROUND DAY 14Review, outcome and report

The team reviews the evidence, explains the outcome and completes your report.

Your assessment team

Qualified, thoughtful and supportive.

JoJo Blythen is an experienced BACP Registered Therapist and ADHD Assessor. Her therapeutic background brings sensitivity to the ways anxiety, trauma, burnout, identity and masking can overlap with ADHD.

JoJo works alongside Dr Faye Bellanca, a Clinical Psychologist with 15 years’ experience across mental health and educational settings. Together, they bring different professional perspectives to a careful, balanced clinical decision.

Where useful, the pathway can also draw on a wider professional network, including neurodiversity support, speech and language expertise, ADHD coaching and independent medication and titration services.

Clear costs

What the £1,000 includes.

The £1,000 assessment fee covers the complete diagnostic pathway shown above: discovery conversation, pre-screening, QbTest, clinical interview, multidisciplinary review, written report, feedback and follow-on guidance.

The only potential additional cost is medication. Medication is an optional, separate pathway that we can offer if it is clinically appropriate and you would like to explore it. We will explain those costs before you decide.

PREPARING

You do not need a perfect history.

Jot down patterns you notice at work, home, in relationships and when managing time, emotions or everyday tasks. Examples are useful; polished explanations are not required.

CHILDHOOD

Bring what is available.

School reports, memories or information from someone who knew you when you were younger may be helpful. We will explain what is relevant and work carefully with what you have.

AFTERWARDS

Give yourself time.

An outcome can bring relief, questions, grief or several feelings at once. The feedback session gives you space to reflect before choosing any next step.

Questions are welcome

Before you decide.

Do I need a GP referral?+

No GP referral is needed to make an initial enquiry. You can contact us directly and we will explain whether involving your GP may be helpful at any later stage.

Will my report be recognised?+

You receive a detailed clinical report designed to support conversations with work, study, healthcare or other services. Each organisation makes its own decision about accepting a private report, so we cannot guarantee acceptance. If this is important to you, check with the receiving organisation before booking.

What if I struggle to remember childhood?+

You do not need perfectly documented memories. School reports, family recollections and examples from earlier life can be helpful, but we will explain what information is relevant and work carefully with what is available.

Will I need an informant?+

Information from someone who knows you well can sometimes add useful context. We will discuss this with you rather than assuming that a parent, partner or other informant is available or appropriate.

Is medication included in the £1,000 fee?+

No. The £1,000 covers the complete assessment pathway. Medication is optional and follows a separate pathway with an additional cost, which will be explained before you make any decision.

Is shared care with my GP guaranteed?+

No. Shared-care arrangements are always at the discretion of the prescribing clinician and your GP practice. We can explain the medication pathway and what questions to ask, but we cannot promise that shared care will be accepted.

Can appointments be online or in person?+

Both options are available, depending on the stage of the assessment and your needs. In-person appointments are held in Old Stratford, with parking along a quiet residential road. Please ask us about any accessibility requirements before booking.

How long does the assessment take?+

From first enquiry to completed assessment is usually around 14 days. Timing depends on your needs, appointment availability and whether further information is required.

What happens if I do not receive a diagnosis?+

The aim is still to offer a clearer understanding of your experiences, strengths, needs and helpful next steps—not to reduce the process to a yes or no.

When you feel ready

Your first step can simply be a conversation.

No hard sell and no need to have everything worked out. Tell us what you are wondering about, and we can begin there.
