Inhale & BreatheFind your calm.Neurodivergent therapy near Milton Keynes and online
Perhaps you have an ADHD or autism diagnosis. Perhaps you are questioning, recognising familiar experiences, or trying to understand why everyday life takes so much out of you.
Therapy can offer space to explore your experiences, understand your needs and find ways forward that feel more manageable.
I’m Joanne, usually known as JoJo, a BACP Registered Therapist and neurodivergent practitioner. I offer warm, neurodivergent-affirming therapy for adults from my studio in Old Stratford near Milton Keynes, and online across the UK.
Does this feel familiar?
You may appear to be coping while feeling exhausted underneath. You might spend hours replaying conversations, struggle to switch off, or find that small demands become overwhelming when your energy is already low.
You do not need to relate to every experience here. We can begin with what matters to you.
Working together
My approach is collaborative and grounded in curiosity. We make room for your strengths and difficulties, and for the circumstances around them.
My lived experience of neurodivergence complements my therapeutic training. It helps shape how I listen, while leaving room for your experience to be different from mine.
We might explore emotions, relationships, anxiety, trauma, masking or burnout. We can also think together about boundaries, everyday demands and the support you need.
There is room to pause, reflect and move at a pace we agree together. You do not need a clear agenda or the right words before we begin.
“For me, this work comes back to calm, curiosity and connectedness: space to breathe, permission to wonder about your experience, and the possibility of feeling more connected to yourself and others.”— JoJo

An introduction
Cooper is our therapy dog—and another member of the Inhale & Breathe welcome team.
If having a dog around would help you feel more at ease, you’re welcome to ask about Cooper when we speak.
Equally, if dogs aren’t your thing, or you have allergies, fears or sensory preferences, please tell me so we can discuss arrangements before your visit.
Feeling comfortable matters. Being a dog person is entirely optional.
Your needs matter
Different people need different things to feel able to engage. You are welcome to ask about:
A clearer structure or an opening check-in. More processing time, pauses or direct questions.
Moving, using a fidget item, sensory preferences and the therapy environment.
Choosing online, phone or in-person sessions, or talking while walking.
We can discuss what helps, what is possible and what we may need to adapt as we get to know each other. You do not have to know all your needs before we begin.
A question you may have
No formal ADHD or autism diagnosis is needed to enquire about therapy.
You are welcome if you are diagnosed, self-identifying, questioning or waiting for an assessment. We can explore your experiences without requiring you to settle on a label.
Therapy and diagnostic assessment are separate services. If you are seeking an adult ADHD assessment, you can explore our assessment pathway or ask about it during your introductory call.

When you feel ready
The free 15-minute introductory call gives you space to ask questions, tell me a little about what you are looking for and discuss any access needs.
You do not need to share your whole story, and there is no obligation to book therapy.
If we decide to work together, we will discuss availability, session format, fees and what to expect before arranging your first session. That first appointment gives us more time to understand what brings you here and agree how we might work together.
